The designer, Mr. Hikosaka, is one of Japan's foremost hat specialists with a wealth of knowledge and connections to many domestic factories based on patterns he creates himself. From selling only hunting caps in the past, he now handles hats for numerous select shops and brands.

For size adjustment on the back, it adopts the "NATO belt" developed by the UK Ministry of Defence for wartime use. It boasts high durability against water and dirt. Also, due to its lightweight and soft material, size adjustment is smooth.
